Great Blue Heron, Jean-Charles Daumas (1996)

Great Blue Heron, Jean-Charles Daumas (1996)

Jean-Charles Daumas lives in Quebec City where he was born in 1956. He is a graphic designer who works in the field of advertising. His father - also an artist - was his first artistic mentor.

Art and nature have long been entwined around Jean-Charles Daumas life, although there is special place in his heart for birds. One of his distinctive traits is that before painting a subject he meticulously studies the species, its behaviour and its particular habitat.

Jean-Charles Daumas’ work and artistic style are markedly influenced by Robert Bateman and his great respect for nature. He has held solo exhibits in Quebec City and has also been part of group exhibits in Sorel, Saint-Bruno, Montréal and Quebec City.
