The Program for the conservation of Lac Saint-Pierre provides financial aid to organizations promoting initiatives in conservation or restoration of biodiversity and water quality for the Lac Saint-Pierre ecosystem.
It aims to restore the ecological functions of the littoral zones of Lac Saint-Pierre and its tributaries by financially supporting the restoration of natural environments, especially through the development of shorelines in agrarian environments, as well as wetlands in littoral zones.
Objectives
- Promote the recovery of the ecological functions characteristic of the littoral, particularly within a perspective of improving water quality, restoring ecosystem productivity, and revitalizing biodiversity.
- Provide optimal conditions for reproduction and feeding of fish, waterfowl, farmland birds, amphibians, reptiles, and pollinating insects.
- Restore functional connectivity and promote the recovery of a characteristic and native vegetation.

Closing dates for the submission of applications
Dates for submission of declaration of interest forms are: August 5 and December 15.
Closing dates for submission of detailed applications are: October 1 and February 15.
How to submit an application
The applicant organization must fill out the application for financial aid form for the program and send it by email to the Fondation de la faune du Québec at: projets@fondationdelafaune.qc.ca.

For efficient use of the financial aid form, we strongly suggest that you download it on your computer by executing the following sequence:
Click right on the link to the financial aid form and, depending on your Internet browser (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari), choose the option:

and choose “Desktop” as the destination for the download.
