Objective

Promote the development of a new generation of fishers in Quebec.

Operation

Groups of youth 6 to 17 years are invited to spend a day close to a body of water where they will learn about fish biology, the basics of fishing, respect for the environment, regulation, and concepts of safety.

During this day-long activity, a fishing rod (or tip-up), as well as a valid fishing licence for up to 18 years of age, are provided to each participant to encourage them to go fishing again. Furthermore, each youth receives an educational brochure « Moi je pêche avec … Guliver! » ou « La pêche blanche avec … Guliver! ».
